The importance of having the right gallops and having intricate knowledge of them are an essential part of training and David Marnane has developed his facilities to include the following:
• A seven furlong sand and fibre gallop that begins in a wooded area and turns into a final climb up a steady incline, offering an excellent mix of education and conditioning.
• A two furlong sand and fibre ring used for warming up and slower work.
• An inclined grass gallop used for light breezes.
• Should a horse need to work away from home, Tipperary racecourse is only a 10 minute drive away, and we also make use of the all-weather track at Dundalk when required.
